My new series or movie idea, inspired by listening to the President's
speech from "Independence Day" (an amazing movie-president speech- "We
will not go quietly into the night!" etc etc).
Idea:
This speech is actually the speech of a football coach to his team
before the big game. However, it's not just any speech or any game. They
live in a world where football decides survival. Each team plays, not
just for the glory of a win but for their own lives as well as their
towns'. You win, you go on. You lose, you and your town are destroyed (a
new dystopian form of population control).
